The Dawn of "Miracles"

With most of my primary education enjoyed through the Catholic Church, and a lucky happy time of it, it was confusing to me to also enjoy the beliefs of a Father with scientific leanings. In fact, it created some conflict for me, until a High School Theology instructor recommended a book written by Jesuit Scholar Father Pierre Teillhard de Chardin. "The Divine Millieu" infomed me that Salvation, Enlightenment and Peace were a shining goal on the top of the mountain of spiritual quest. Man was born circling the foot of this mountain, ever seeking its summit. Therefore, man's sight of the summit arises from many different perspectives, and he created through the millennia, many different paths to this goal....each generation achieves better distance, each ends a little nearer the summit , and the virtue is that , at least we made the start, and achieved some advancement toward this goal.

All along the way, along the paths and through the generations, we encounter obstacles for without and within, and encounter inspiration and helps with implementing our efforts. Sometimes we encounter others from nearby paths, and combine forces, to help or hinder the project ....sometimes there is no possibility at all that we m ight share the route to the summit with another. And yet, we experience progress.

De Charding prophesied that the times might come very soon when , at least , sight of the Summit might be ours, and that we must work with our fears......fears of failure and the sometimes greater fears of success in this task. The explosion of enlightenment must not be feared but celebrated, digested and used to enhance and evolve....to strengthen mankind, most of all, through the challenges that are inevitable in the near future. We must not fear enlightenment, but ask God's help in this, that we use the miracles of these times to their best use. The are God's gift to us, and a cause to celebrate. As with all new things, misunderstandings and perversions will come along, too...........so we will need God's help always , to cope with the new challenges brought by these new gifts.
