"Forsythias Grow from Pussywillows" is a fun thing, a true memory from littlegirlhood observations, inaccurate but sweet to recall. Both grow in early Spring and the pussywillow looked to me like it might be a fuzzy bud for a flower like the fosythia and they often were planted in more or less the same property border.
