There were so many articles on it I leave you to research it. The blossoms are said to be small (half inch), but I have seen ones with blossoms the size of a geranium floret ( texas crown of thorns? ) when it liked its sunny window. The branch sap (called 'latex') can be poisonous and the roots will kill fish. So you might not want it around a house with curious little children. Yet, like the poinsettia, it is quite a popular and beautiful plant. It is a succulent, and will thrive only in frost-free outdoor plantings, and likes the sunniest dry indoor window to grow as a sort-of houseplant. The original painting is available, and it is possible to do up similar original work, per your commission. Contact links, above, for inquiry.
