The Money Bouquet was crafted by the Bride's circle of women friends, in days gone by. Not all brides could expect to have one done up for them - it was a special gift, for a young woman who earned special thoughtfulness. And it was presented in an equally-adorned floral box. Made with artfully-folded real money, and artfully bound with artificial flowers and tulle, the Bouquet was a fine show to add to Bridal shower or Wedding Reception table or simply presented among the gifts, to be a keepsake or a rescue bit of cash for a new young couple. Today such crafts are re-emerging, for their goodness, and Elle Fagan was privileged to both learn the craft and receive one of her own. Lost in war days moves, with her new Officer Groom, it was missed. And so it is a delight to make them up today and remember their special place among wedding treasures. Also, the Bouquet is nice at First Communions, Graduations, and is worked with different trimmings for other special events. The bouquet can also be made of real flowers, and 'florets' of the crafted money bundles tucked in - although it does not last as long, unless you like dried flowers on display, and then the money florets look a bit odd. So when the bouquet is made from real flowers, the money is 'harvested' once the flowers dry. Fun!
